The BMW 1 Series Convertible turns open roads into exciting concert venues. Subwoofers form the basis of the exceptional sound while the HiFi loudspeaker system enhances this sound with eight speakers. The optional HiFi System Professional adds an additional high-end speaker system and surround function. Using the AUX port, you can connect external devices such as MP3 players to all HiFi systems. Two BMW radios and a CD changer complete the entertainment options.

USB/audio connection for the BMW 1 Series Convertible.

How do you navigate through a library of 10,000 songs? Thanks to the optional USB/audio connection in the BMW 1 Series Convertible, you can integrate your entire music library into the vehicle on-board system. Audio files, menus and folder structures of most standard MP3 players and of USB sticks, iPods and iPhones are displayed on the screen of the BMW navigation system or the BMW Professional radio. The device can be controlled using the keys on the multifunction steering wheel, the iDrive Controller or the BMW Professional radio controls. A protective pocket for digital devices is integrated in the armrest.

Climate comfort in the BMW 1 Series Convertible.

The optional climate control system (standard in the BMW 125i, 135i and 123d) creates a pleasant cabin temperature whatever the season. The optional automatic climate control system with Automatic Air Recirculation includes microfilters, condensation and sunlight sensors and a fast-heating feature, to quickly create a comfortable cabin temperature and to keep it constant. And for even more comfort, the unique convertible mode is able to react intelligently to changing situations. If the roof is open, the interior air conditioning is regulated according to the ambient temperature, sun intensity and driving speed.

Seats and seat comfort in the BMW 1 Series Convertible.

Combining outstanding materials with excellent craftsmanship: the standard seats for the driver and front passenger in the BMW 1 Series Convertible offer manual seat height adjustment (electric seat adjustment is optional) and can be effortlessly adjusted to suit practically any seating position. And if you require sporting style, the optional sports seats provide optimum lateral support, thanks to highly contoured seat sides. Seat height, backrest angle, seat angle, forward/backward position and thigh support for driver and front passenger are all electrically adjustable, ensuring the sports seats deliver ideal individual support.

Sun Reflective Technology in the BMW 1 Series Convertible.

Keeping cool on hot, sunny days has never been easier: Sun Reflective Technology materials incorporate modified dye pigments that reflect light waves towards the infrared end of the spectrum. As a result, the seats, side armrests, leather trims in the doors and side panels, and centre console armrest stay up to 20 °C cooler in direct sunlight than they would do otherwise.

Steering wheels in the BMW 1 Series Convertible.

With its compact form (369 mm diameter), the sports leather steering wheel* with chrome trim provides precise control and a comfortable grip. If desired, the steering wheel can also be fitted with multifunction controls which operate the radio, CD player and optional telephone, plus two programmable keys. The leather steering wheel also comes with a leather handbrake lever handle. And for those cold, winter mornings, the optional steering wheel heating quickly warms up the steering wheel rim at the touch of a button.

Shift paddles for the BMW 1 Series Convertible.

Putting extremely rapid gear shifts at your fingertips: simply push the paddle away from you to change down or pull it towards you to change up. The optional shift paddles* for the six-speed automatic transmission provide even fast gear shifts without you ever needing to take your hands off the wheel.

Lights package for the BMW 1 Series Convertible.

The optional lights package ensures that the front of the cabin is automatically illuminated for 20 seconds once you unlock the doors, giving you the time to take your seat comfortably. As soon as a door is opened, footwell lights are activated to optimally guide passengers to their seats. The lights package also includes reading lights situated in the front and rear of the vehicle and two lit make-up mirrors.

Storage package for the BMW 1 Series Convertible.

Everything has its place, especially in the BMW 1 Series Convertible. The optional storage package comprises nets for passengers on the front-seat backrests and additional storage above the instrument panel*. The two fold-down fastening points and straps on the luggage compartment floor ensure even bulky items can be transported with ease. Two drink holders in the central console**, a 12-volt power outlet and a roof handle on the right side complete the package.

When temperatures rise, it's important to stay hydrated. This is made easy in the BMW 1 Series Convertible thanks to a maximum of three available drink holders. The optional storage package comprises two drink holders and an additional one can also be built into the centre console to ensure that you always have on-hand refreshment.

The range of upholsteries available for the BMW 1 Series Convertible, for example the Leather Boston option, accentuates the stylish appeal and superior quality of the interior. Interior trims such as Satin Silver matt, Cashmere Silver, grey Poplar Grain, light Burr Walnut, high-gloss Black or Brushed Aluminium with accent line further underline the individual character of the BMW 1 Series Convertible.

BMW Junior Seat I - II for the BMW 1 Series Convertible.

BMW provides innovative safety solutions for its youngest passengers with the BMW Junior Seat I - II. The child seat specially designed for vehicles with the ISOFIX mounting system consists of a height-adjustable and inclinable seat as well as a seat hook. The seat is suitable for children who weigh 9 to 18 kg (seatbelts are used to secure children weighing 18 to 26 kg) and is available in the following designs: grey/blue and Formula 1.
